What You Can't See CAN Hurt Your Pet!
Rapid laboratory results are often critical in the treatment of a patient. Our laboratory can obtain results within a few minutes, and extensive laboratory work-ups in a few hours.
Some of the tests we perform are:
- Thyroid testing
- CBC
- Blood chemistry analysis
- Digital Radiographs
- Cellular cytology
- Pre-surgical blood work
- Ultrasounds
- EKG
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries
In addition, routine tests are performed with regularly scheduled vaccination appointments.
HEARTWORM TESTS detect the presence of heartworms in your dog.
Heartworms are transmitted by mosquitoes. If allowed to mature, the adults will live in the heart and lungs of your pet. This can seriously affect the blood flow in the heart and can lead to permanent and deadly damage if untreated.
An ounce of PREVENTION is worth a pound of CURE. Heartworm preventative tablets are a treat for your pet, and will prevent deadly heartworm disease.
FECAL EXAMS look for the presence of intestinal parasites in your cat or dog, such as hook worms, whip worms, and round worms.
These parasites rob your pet of nutrition, drain pets of blood, and can rupture your pet's intestines. In addition, worms can lead to a dry coat, a bloated belly, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, weight loss, and even death.
Have your pet tested for intestinal parasites at least twice yearly.
